Pom-Pom Magnets and Pushpins
I made a huge assortment of colorful pom-poms for a photo shoot last month. Instead of letting the pom-poms go to waste and sit in plastic bags for months, I came up with a simple DIY to put them to good use! A lot of you mentioned a pom pom rug idea and I can't wait to give it a try with some of my larger poms. This simple magnet and pushpin DIY is perfect for the smaller pom-poms in my stash. I love how they add color and texture to my inspiration boards! The process is really simple...
(Inspiration board sources: A postcard from Karen and a blank knitting card by Pei Design.)
Materials -
- Magnets
- Plain pushpins
- A hot glue gun
- Pom poms (I used these pom pom makers.)
Once you make your pom-poms, add a large dot of hot glue to one side of the magnet or pushpin. Press the glue side on the pom-pom and hold tightly to secure. Allow to dry completely.
That's it! Now you can display photos and memories on your refrigerator or cork board with a bit of colorful yarn.
I hope you are having a great start to the week!
